Furnished/equipped for full-time occupancy; full use lush sub-tropical gardens - many different seating areas in both sun and shade, BBQs, fountains, swimming pool. Gardens a delight with many native plants and trees - pick oranges, lemons and avocados in season. Fully Illuminated at night.
Pets welcome, car essential.

This is the largest town in the Costa Tropical and is a great place to stay if you wish to explore the inland areas within Andalucia as well as the coast. It takes a little over an hour to reach by car from Malaga airport.
Large quantities of fruits and flowers are grown in this area, making it quite a commercial area and there are roughly 50,000 people live there. It’s not overly brimming with things to do for tourists, however it’s great for shopping, eating and drinking. Many visitors head for Playa de Poniente to relax by the beach.
Ideal touring base; good road network easy excursions to Granada, Almunecar, Salobrena, Nerja, Cabo de Gata, Sevilla, Cordoba, La Alpujarra & Lecrin Valley. Also many small fishing villages and beaches along this unspoilt Granada coastline, area remains Spanish. Enjoy village fiestas during the year and sample the local cuisine, seafood - plentiful and cheap alongside free tapas in nearly every bar!!
My name is Patrick, I live here in Cortijo Nuevo with my elderly father and 2 friendly hounds, Ben & Jerry. Moving over from Dorset, UK in 2001 (originally from Cumbria) seeking and finding a less stressful lifestyle!
Property renovations quickly followed and Casa Pequena was born, cottage garden laid out alongside the established Cortijo gardens.
Property successfully rented for short term holiday lets ever since, alongside El Apartamento. I manage both rental properties, and maintain the gardens and pool - on hand to deal with any questions and advice - but respect travellers privacy.
Cortijo Nuevo is often referred to as an oasis; hidden amongst farmland and agricultural greenhouses - not an average holiday property! Lovely Mediterranean and mountain views, peaceful gardens - yet just 5 minute drive to Motril town, coast and shopping.

“YES!!! what can you say: a great and beautiful place amidst greenhouses typical for this part of Spain - been there twice - such a cosy place, so many nice details, colours, (warm=heating works). Then the garden: luscious and now even 'loads' of roses being planted (looking forward to seeing and smelling them....) and Patrick - just Patrick :) thx!”
