About the property

Villa Leona is a privately owned villa, approximately 4 years old and in the desirable area of Los Mojones – Puerto del Carmen (Old town). It is spacious and sited on a quiet plot, surrounded by walls partly faced with volcanic rock. This gives shade and privacy while at the same time adding to the external appearance helping ensure your time here is both relaxing and enjoyable.

Patio doors open from the lounge onto a spacious terrace with private pool which has solar heating for the summer with additional electric heating as back up for the winter months. The patio has a covered pergola offering additional shade, plus a table and chairs for 'al fresco' dining. To the rear is a further large private area and sun trap fitted with barbecue and sun shades. There is tiled terracing round most of the property giving multiple options for arranging the sun loungers. All the terracing is edged with borders of mature tropical plants and cacti helping create a relaxing atmosphere.

The accommodation consists of a tastefully furnished lounge with fan light and containing two leather couches and a further sofa bed, with satellite TV, video (a number of pre-recorded videos are provided) and a DVD plus small library of DVD's. There is also a music centre for your entertainment, plus a portable music centre.

The master bedroom has a fan light, en-suite bathroom with full suite, and a dressing room with fitted safe and ample storage. There is a further double bedroom and a third bedroom with twin beds, both rooms having fitted wardrobes and sharing a full second bathroom.

There is a modern fitted kitchen with dining table, oven/hob, microwave, fridge/freezer, dishwasher, toaster and coffee maker. This has an adjacent wet room which serves as a rear exit and hosts the washing machine and ironing facilities and provides safe lockable storage should you have bikes or other sporting equipment.

On your arrival there will be a welcome pack containing water, tea, milk and a local champagne.

There is ample parking space on 2 sides of the property, plus a private drive. There is a major coach/bus drop off point and local taxi rank within 2 minutes walk from the villa.

If you plan to stay for longer than one week, the villa will be cleaned throughout, and all sheets and towels changed. Should you require additional cleaning this can be arranged prior to your arrival.

This is a quality villa situated in a nice quite location and well suited to both families and groups who want to return from a day or evening out to relative peace and quiet. That said shops and restaurants are only five minutes walk, while the harbour is less than 10 minutes as is the hustle and bustle of the strip with its sandy beaches, bars and clubs so the choice is yours – enjoy.

About 15 minutes drive from Arrecife airport, Puerto del Carmen offers 5km of broad, pale sandy beaches as well as a wide variety of places to eat and drink and it remains a popular destination for holidaymakers from far and wide. Made up of a ‘new’ and ‘old’ town, Puerto del Carmen has no high-rise structures and almost all buildings are white and unpretentious.

For nightlife in Puerto del Carmen you can watch the locals taking part in a few games of boules in the old town, which seems to be a nightly occurrence. The old town also offers a great variety of restaurants serving fresh fish, while if you head off into the holiday area you'll find everything from traditional English sports bars to Chinese restaurants.

“villa leona very clean, and decorated to a high standard, only thing missing was air conditioning , and the shower fitments were poor, the t.v was non existent unless you had your own card, which we didnt, the building site over the road was a let down, but very quiet in the evenings and night time, so all had a good sleep.except for the missing airconditioning, pool was kept to a high standard, but the surrounding gardens were very untidy. might go back again. dont know.”

Owner's response: The land opposite is not a building site - it is an area of green land which cannot be built on under Spanish law.
