About the property
Casa San Juan is a modern Spanish house within an easy 200m walk of the lovely sandy beaches at San Juan de los Terreros. San Juan is a small seaside town famed for its beaches. Three of the beaches, Playa Rabiosa, Playa Calypso and Playa Serena (which is opposite the house) have all been awarded the coveted Q flag for high quality tourist beaches for the second year running. San Juan is close to the border between Andalucia (Costa de Almeria) and Murcia (Costa Calida). Aguilas, the nearest large town is 5 miles away.
Casa San Juan is spacious and well equipped. There are three bedrooms each with full size English beds (king, double and twin) and English linen. Each bedroom has its own balcony, two of which (king and double) are provided with chairs.
Most attractive of all is the top floor sun terrace that has impressive views of the beach, the Castillo de San Juan and the Isla San Juan. The terrace has a patio set with umbrellas to provide shade as necessary. It is the ideal location to enjoy your book or food and drink, all with a view. To keep "up top" drinks cool a refrigerator is provided on the top floor. The top terrace and the patio are on opposite sides of the house, which enables sun lovers to follow the sun through the day whilst those who prefer the shade can be equally happy.
The ground floor comprises an entrance hall, cloakroom, utility room and a well equipped modern fitted kitchen. The living area is arranged as a lounge diner with a large dining table and six chairs, easy seating, sideboard, bookcase and DVD player. Spanish TV channels are available together with a selection of DVDs, books and games. Marble stairs lead to the first floor.
On the first floor there are two bedrooms and the family bathroom. The front bedroom has two single beds, a wardrobe, chest of drawers and a small walled balcony. This room is ideal for children although the beds are full size (3 ft) making it equally suitable for adults. The other bedroom has a King size bed, wardrobe, dressing table and two bedside tables with lamps. The balcony is full size with chairs. The bathroom is full tiled with bath/shower, washbasin, bidet and wc. Marble stairs lead to the top floor.
On the top floor there is one bedroom and the sun terrace with sea view. The bedroom has a Double bed, fitted wardrobe, chest of drawers and two bedside tables with lamps. This balcony is also full size and provided with chairs. The sun terrace has a table, chairs and sun umbrellas.
There is a small secure garden to the rear and side of the property, with patio and sun loungers. A short walk from the garden gate is the residents´ pool. The freeform pool is of excellent size in a gated grassed area. A pool for children is also available. The pools remain open during high season only. The garden also has a lockable side entrance which provides access that is ideal for sandy kids straight off the beach. A table and chairs are provided on the patio allowing six to eat al fresco.
Casa San Juan is family owned, family maintained and the owners take great care to meet and greet all guests upon arrival. A short tour of the area is provided to ensure that your holiday gets off to a great start. A complimentary welcome pack is provided.
Bathroom towels and bed linen are provided (changed weekly), however guests are kindly requested to bring their own beach towels.
Casa San Juan has a high number of repeat visitors so early booking is always advised.

Owner's Tips...
The main beach at San Juan is sandy, gently shelving and safe, with showers, toilets and Spanish Red Cross lifeguards on duty during the high season. The beach is popular with families of all ages and nationalities. Chiringuitos (beach bars) serving a varied selection of meals, snacks, tapas, drinks and ice creams are dotted along the promenade behind the beach. The promenade provides the ideal location for an evening stroll to one of the bars or restaurants to be found in and around the town. Nightlife is relaxing and low key.
San Juan has a number of small supermarkets but more extensive shopping opportunities are available in the nearby town of Aguilas, where there is also a wide choice of restaurants. Swordfish is a speciality. Garrucha, a working port to the south of San Juan, is famous for its seafood restaurants and signature dish of local red prawns. Further suggestions for day trips and places to visit are in the "Help Guide" provided in the house.
Within short driving distance of San Juan are sandy coves ideal for picnics and snorkelling. Scuba diving is available at Villaricos and there is an Aquapark at Vera. Golf is available at the newly opened Aguilon course, par 70, 5573m. For further details visit www.golflosterreros.com
