About the property

Los Almendros is an outstanding new villa built in 2006 with a large floodlit private swimming pool, lovely sea and countryside views. Only 1.3 km to traditional Spanish village of Calig and amenities and a short drive to the superb seaside towns of Benicarlo and adjoining resorts Vinaros and Peniscola. The nearest beach is Benicarlo at 9 kms is a 10 minutes drive.

Nestled in a private and fenced 10,000sqm garden with almond, olive, fig and orange trees plus a landscaped area. A tranquil and idyllic environment offering a holiday to suit all tastes . Will suit families or couples seeking privacy and relaxation in luxurious surroundings with everything within a short drive.

Accommodation is spacious and decorated in neutral colours.

There are 4 double bedrooms all with large built-in mirror wardrobes and patio doors leading to a wrap around veranda offering private sunbathing and panoramic views. There is one king size bed and three doubles / there are 2 singles and a sofabed, and a cot available if needed to suit sleeping requirements. 2 bathrooms, 1 with a very large jacuzzi bath and one with a power shower. All quality cotton linen and ample bath towels provided. Please bring own pool/beach towels.

The kitchen is fully equipped and has all modern quality appliances eg Smeg and Bosch. White cupboard units with marble work surfaces plus a separate utility room for storage and laundry.

The lounge/ diner is comfortably furnished with sofas, chairs, coffee tables and large dining table for 8/9. All mod cons including satellite TV, DVD, CD, video. A selection of films, CD's, books and games are provided.

Numerous outside terraces and seating areas for sun or shade and equipped with sun loungers, parasols and pergola for dining alfresco. The garden and pool has night lights. There is an outside shower, large gas BBQ and a choice of outside dining tables. There is plenty of room for everyone to swim, sunbathe, relax with a drink, seek shade and read a book or to go for a walk through the garden.

The villa offers superb accommodation in idyllic surroundings to make your holiday memorable, a Mediterranean home from home. As owners we take pride in the villa and surrounding areas, beaches, restaurants and places of interest. We will meet you at your chosen local meeting point, escort you to the villa and familiarise you with the villa and area to your requirements prior to handing you the keys.

Owner's Tips...

The coastal areas of Vinaros to Peniscola offer Blue flag beaches offering a huge range of watersports and activities, sunbeds and parasols and of course a vast choice of beach bars, cafes and restaurants. If you prefer the quiet coves there are many to choose from at Serra d.irta. (see photo gallery) and the north of Vinaros.

The marinas are worth a visit and the working fishing harbours provide the local restaurants with their daily catch. In Peniscola you can buy fresh fish from the harbour as the boats return with their catch.

Calig is a traditional Spanish village with a bakers, few shops, post office, cafes, tapas bars, weekly fresh produce market, large communal swimming pool, tennis court, football pitch, cyber centre - 50 cents per hour for broadband internet. The locals are very proud of their village and very welcoming.

Inland you have fab areas to visit - culture, history and adventure, all available eg. Morella for the history, La Senia lakes and wind surfing, reservoirs, caves, quads, go karts, tenpin bowling, horse riding, tennis lessons etc. Golf at Panoramica is 15 minutes drive.

Portaventura Universal Spanish Disney is 1hr, Aquarama waterpark 40mins. Barcelona 2hrs, Valencia 1hr all just to name a few.
