About the property

New for Autumn 2008 this unique Canarian fisherman's cottage is front line to the sea at Arrieta. This eco house runs on solar power and is a fantastic example of sustainable living, the house has 4 solar panels where the power is then stored in batteries, these panels make great use of the year round sunshine.

The house has been sympathetically restored using wood and stone and has kept its original courtyard. You enter the property through this courtyard and go on into the fully fitted kitchen dining area. The living room being directly on the sea boasts fantastic views of the harbour and coast. There is a double sofa bed for 2 guests. On the ground floor of the courtyard you have a shower room and the external staircase up to the first floor.

The master bedroom with double bed, single bed and or cot is ensuite and has panoramic views overlooking the sea.

Owner's Tips...

If you require Internet you are welcome to visit my office to borrow a computer FOC. If there is anything you require which is not listed please just ask.

Arrieta is a great base from which to explore the island, with the Jameos del Agua Cave, The Cactus Garden, Mirador del Rio View of Graciosa Island and The Green Caves being only 10 minutes drive away.

Arrieta boasts one of the best family beaches on the island it has a tapas beach bar and restaurant, toilets and shower facilities, from its black sands you can see the panoramic volcanic mountains up to Haria.

From Arrieta you can explore the countryside from walking up volcanoes, discovering caves to seeing some spectacular views to La Graciosa.

In Haria you will find a number of cosy restaurants, and Tapas Bars, each Saturday you can experience the artisan market which is well worth a visit. From Haria you can drive the mountain route to the historic village of Teguise, where you can take a stroll through the meandering lanes and watch local artists at work or visit the Sunday Market, all this is only a 20 minute drive away.
